Ngunguru - location 20mins from Whangarei Central.
An idyllic seaside community where you can enjoy safe swimming in the estuary, stroll around to Wellington's bay (low tide) through the bays.
Facilities include; restaurants, cafes, superette, fish & chip shop, surf shop, garage, hairdressers and the Ngunguru Sports complex where you can involve yourself in a game of golf, tennis, bowls or dine in and enjoy a drink at the bar.

The gateway to the Poor Nights Islands. Tutukaka Marina is situated 80 sea miles from the Auckland Harbour. A boating hub where you can enjoy fine dining, restaurants and bars. The Game fishing club hosts numerous fishing contests throughout the year. Dive Tutukaka and numerous owner operated charter companies offer private or group charters fishing/ diving or snorkeling. Boat moorings are available.

Matapouri Bay

Matapouri - location 10mins from Tutukaka
One of New Zealands best beaches. A magnificent large bay ideal for swimming and relaxing. Continue through the rock whole and around to the mermaids swimming pool, where good rock fishing is also located.

Whale Bay - location 2 mins from Matapouri
A simply magic spot with access via walking track through a native bush reserve. A world of it's own... simply paradise.

Another long white sandy stunning beach. A picturesque setting enjoy this unspoilt beach.
